It was a bit unexpected this but managed to ride an Island loop today ! …Hit 27 degrees at some points which eased the pain of the shocking head wind which lasted from from Cala St Vicent in the East to Santa Agnes in the West!

Recent VC rides have seen us take a marine commando out for a spin….
Hook up with one of the islands most well known cycling personalities and photographer extraordinaire Mr. Stefan Rohner
And facilitate a first road bike ride on the island for a London based, IslandĀ home owner… all Good stuff.
The back is feeling good and that means I’m able to slowly building up the miles / kms with a good block of riding that will go into the weekend. Got some great images today…its 28 degrees and the beaches are deserted!
A very scenic route with Chris this morning with the weather remaining fantastic for riding. Taking in an eastern loop that from town passes through Puig D’en VallsĀ Santa Gertrudis, San Llorenc, San Carlos, Es Canar, Santa Eularia, Siesta, Cala Llonga then back into Jesus and Ibiza town. Great stuff.
Due to my boring lower back injury that I in no way blame on Mr Matt Kerr or Strava (well maybe a bit), It felt amazing to be riding the island again this week in some truly splendid October weather.
And it looks like the back issue has been resolved by having the troublesome body part removed and replaced with a new carbon fibre flex-tech lower back (available at all good body stores).
The route was pretty much the same all week due to the integration of the new back but by Friday I was definitely feeling the old sea legs coming back!
We have been super busy over the last week or so cramming in lots of riding with some lovely people. VC Ibiza salutes Charles, Rich, Lulu, Matt, Graham, Giles, Mike and Wijnand whom all took to the roads and trails of the White Isle!

Charles takes on the Coast to Coast MTB trail in the UK at the end of September, he got in some good training
After the exploring of Salines, Lulu tested her self on the road putting in 40 miles along the east coast
Wijnand was in Ibiza to celebrate his record labels 10th Birthday! Happy Birthday Armada Music . He was also preparing to ride Mt. Ventoux 3 time in 1 day! In what is known as the Cingles challenge…phewww!
Charles finished his training with a 70k ride ride, we are also joined by Richard fair play to them both who completed the ride in style even though their dietary preparation was not the best due to the previous nights festivities! Good luck on the Coast to Coast challenge Charles !
A stormy end to the month of August made for some cooler temperatures but allowed for some longer time in the saddle… Ibiza resident and Dan and south London based track cyclist James joined VC Ibiza on rumble around the east of the island this weekend.
Rachel from Bath in the UK is currently in training for the Leeds Triathlon on September the 8th, she visited this island last week staying at very lovely Can Curreau.
We rode out early on Saturday to take in a north eastern loop of the island that allowed us wonderful roads and even better scenery.
Good luck on the 8th Rachel!
Took in a nice an easy MTB rides this morn…utilizing the existing Santa Eularia council signed routes 11 and 12 with 11 being south of Santa Gertrudis and 12 being the northern loop. Points of interest included a speedboat graveyard and the most neglected football pitch in the world…
